Lina is Chinese-Australian and the founder of My Learning Cafe. She was born in China, studied in the USA, and lived and worked for many years in Australia and China. She now teaches in Germany.
After first spending a few years working in the corporate world, she decided to pursue her passion for teaching, passed her TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) exams with flying colours and then joined one of the best language schools in China.
Between her classes at the school, she taught business English at multi-national companies thanks to her corporate background. Sometimes she also gave private tuitions and her students came from all over the world, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Japan, etc. Many praised her for her work and referred her to others.
In addition to her passion for teaching, she wrote for the opinion column of the most widely-circulated English newspaper in Shanghai at the time. Her writing is witty, sharp, and has a very tight logic. It received a lot of positive feedback from the readers, even overseas readers such as an ex-member of the Iowa State House of Representatives.
Her motto is: if something's worth doing, it's worth doing well. She speaks fluent Mandarin, English and German.
